The City of Winnipeg has reached a deal with the union representing nearly 5,000 of its workers.
The city and Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 500 issued a joint news release Sunday saying both sides have reached a tentative agreement.
Details of the agreement won’t be provided until the contract is ratified by city council and CUPE.
Members will vote on the contract in the coming weeks.
A date for council ratification has not yet been set.
