David Freeman of the British Artiques Roadshow (HANDOUT)

Have an old antique laying around your home collecting dust? The British Artiques Roadshow is returning to Winnipeg this spring.

Antique experts Maureen Wickham and David Freeman will assess items in a two-day art and collectibles appraisal event on May 13 and 14 at Garden City Shopping Centre.

Experts won’t be purchasing goods, but only providing a value figure to the item.

The appraisal cost per item is $15 for one, $30 for two and $40 for three.

The last time the Roadshow was in the city, appointments were booked up in record time. To book an appointment, call the mall at (204) 338-7076. Items will be assessed from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

Weapons, large furniture, ivory, precious jewels and gems, toys, dolls and Aboriginal artefacts will not be appraised.

This event has no connection to the television series and will not be filmed.
