Three Killed in Fire on Manitoba First Nation

Three people were killed in a fire on God’s Lake Narrows First Nation Monday morning.

Two children — a two-year-old boy and three-year-old girl — died in the house fire that erupted just before 11 a.m. A 73-year-old man was also killed.

Community members tried to extinguish the blaze, but were unsuccessful. Only a portion of the home is still standing.

The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner investigating.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. No damage estimate is available.
