March 22, 2011 7:38 AM | Entertainment

A panel of composers will come together tonight at McNally Robinson Booksellers for a Composer Panel, part of the upcoming Cluster Festival.

The Cluster New Music and Integrated Arts Festival will run from March 24-26 at venues throughout Winnipeg.

Audiences will get a preview of what to expect in the days to come as six composers from this year’s festival converse on their area of expertise beginning at 7 p.m.

Hosted by Winnipeg’s own Michael Matthews, the panel will feature Gordon Fitzell (Winnipeg), Alexandra Fol (Montreal), Brian Harman (Montreal), Giorgio Magnanensi (Vancouver, BC), Jerry Semchyshyn (Winnipeg), and Thierry Tidrow (Amsterdam, NL).

Topics on the table include the compositional process, multidisciplinary collaboration, the future of new music, and more.
