The Winnipeg Goldeyes added left-handed pitcher Ian Thomas to the roster on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old was named the Northern League’s Rookie Pitcher of the Year last season after posting a spectacular 1.64 ERA and 5-1 record in 34 games out of the bullpen. He also earned four saves and had an impressive 60 strikeouts in 55 innings pitched.
Thomas’ signing brings the number of players for the 2011 season to 20.
The Goldeyes also announced the club will be hosting two hiring nights for game day staff on April 5 and 6 from 4-7 p.m. Anyone interested in working at Shaw Park is invited to fill out an application and take part in an interview for game day positions in fan services, concessions and security.
