Panel Discussion to Examine Rights of LGBT Workers

A panel discussion this afternoon at the University of Manitoba will examine the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered people in the workforce.

OUT in Business: Understanding Different Perspectives of the LGBT Workforce is a public event meant to engage conversation between students and faculty at the Asper School of Business and U of M.

Guest speakers include Karen Busby, professor, Faculty of Law; Tricia Hill, respectful workplace advisor, Manitoba Public Insurance; Patrick O’Reilly, chief operating officer, Canadian Museum for Human Rights; and Brad Tyler West, senior human resources consultant, Legacy Bowes Group.

The event is open to all and will run from 2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in Room 343 of the Drake Centre at 181 Freedman Crescent.
