The former Canadian ambassador to Egypt, Jordan, Israel and the Palestinian territories will speak at the University of Winnipeg on Thursday.
Michael Bell will present on “The New Middle East” at 12:30 p.m. in Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall as part of the U of M’s Bonnycastle Lecture Series.
Bell is currently the Paul Martin (Sr.) Senior Scholar on International Diplomacy at the University of Windsor, where he teaches on the law and politics of the modern Middle East. He is also engaged in a major study on the future governance of Jerusalem’s Old City.
Admission to the public lecture is free.
