Winnipeg’s iconic ice cream joint is set to open for the season on Saturday.
The Bridge Drive-In — or BDI as it’s most commonly known — will begin pumping out shakes, sundaes, floats and cones on Saturday afternoon. Staff didn’t answer the phone late Thursday, but we’re hearing 1 p.m. is the official opening time.
It may not be ideal weather for ice cream just yet, but as long as the sun is warm enough on Saturday, it may feel nicer than 0°C outside.
Rival establishment Sargent Sundae on Portage Avenue is already open.
