City, Winnipeg Sun Partner in $125K Bus Stop Deal

March 25, 2011 3:26 PM | News

The City of Winnipeg and Winnipeg Sun have formed a partnership under the Sponsor Winnipeg program which will allow the newspaper to place its vending boxes at 20 high-traffic Winnipeg Transit bus stops.

The Sun is making a $125,000 contribution of “in-kind services” to the city under the deal.

The in-kind contribution will consist of advertising in the Winnipeg Sun, to enhance the city’s ability to provide information to Winnipeggers.

City council will still need to fully approve the initiative.

Sponsor Winnipeg allows businesses to further brand themselves, while helping the city generate additional revenue.
