Winnipeg artists walked away from the 2011 Juno Awards gala Saturday night empty-handed.
Local nominees Chic Gamine, Ruth Moody, Del Barber, Eagle & Hawk and Little Hawk (Troy Westwood) didn’t picked up any hardware this time around.
However, former Winnipegger Neil Young scooped up a statue for Adult Alternative Album of the Year during the gala at the Allstream Centre in Toronto.
Young will also be honoured with the 2011 Allan Waters Humanitarian Award during tonight’s telecast of the Junos, which air at 8 p.m. CT on CTV.
Fans nationwide can send photos of their own Junos celebrations to be included in the live photo gallery to junos2011@ctv.ca.
