Two Winnipeg television producers are preparing to jet off to Cannes, France to hon their skills at selling, pitching and promoting.

Jean duToit from Buffalo Gal Pictures and Vanessa Loewen from Animiki See Digital Productions Inc. are currently being trained in the NSI Global Marketing program.

The program teaches the ability to successfully pitch their projects to international buyers, co-producers and distributors at MIPTV.

From April 4 -7, the two will be in France along with fellow NSI participants Sheona McDonald from Dimestore Productions Inc. in Vancouver and Leslea Mair of Zoot Pictures in Regina.

“The participants had a week’s immersion with Canadian leaders who have their pulse on the trends in the world right now,” said Mickey Rogers, NSI’s Global Marketing program manager. “With this preparation, the group is able to make meetings with international partners and be clear about the needs for their projects.”

Rogers will also be blogging about the pitches.
