Hollywood movies and TV shows have skewed reality when it comes to what an emergency room is really like.
A prominent E.R. physician will attempt to separate fact from fiction in an upcoming lecture at the Rady JCC.
Dr. Brian Goldman has been an emergency room physician at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto for more than 20 years, is the host of CBC Radio’s “White Coat, Black Art” and author of “The Night Shift: Real Life in the Heart of the E.R.”
Goldman specializes in kicking open the doors to the medical establishment, revealing what really goes on behind the scenes — and in the minds of doctors and nurses.
Getting Real in the Emergency Room will be held on Wednesday, April 6 at 7 p.m. in the Multi Purpose Room of 123 Doncaster Street.
Admission is free.
