North End Hockey Program Celebrates End of Season

By David Klassen

Children who had the opportunity to play hockey this season as part of the North End Hockey Program will be rewarded this afternoon.

Inner-city youth were given hockey equipment from generous community donors to lace up for the first time and be part of a team.

Organizers will hand out trophies and serve up pizza, cake and other goodies as part of a celebration at Norquay Community Centre between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

A short program will touch on the success of the program and what the future holds.
