Ness Avenue has been closed to traffic after Sturgeon Creek rose late Sunday, covering the road.

The city warned on the weekend the roadway may be closed temporarily until water recedes.

South of Winnipeg, the province is preparing to close the partial ring-dike on the north side of Morris on Tuesday as high winds are in the forecast, pushing water towards the dikes and Highway 75.

The highway leading to Morris could potentially close tomorrow along with the dike.

Meanwhile, partial dike closures have already taken place in Noyes, St. Jean Baptiste, Gretna, St. Adolphe and Ste. Agathe.
