Team Canada returned home Monday afternoon after winning gold at the Ford World Men’s Curling Championship in Regina.
The Jeff Stoughton rink was greeted to cheers from family, friends and fans.
Watch:
Stoughton, lead Steve Gould, second Reid Carruthers and third Jon Mead played out a similar scenario on Sunday with their 6-5 win over Scotland, repeating the same matchup as their 1996 championship win.
Stoughton said he planned on celebrating Monday night with family.
Next year’s world championship will be held in Basel, Switzerland.
