A call for submissions has been made in the third annual Senior of the Year Awards.
Winnipeg youth are encouraged to nominate a senior aged 60 years or older who has made a difference in their life, or in the lives of others.
A wide range of activities including active living, arts and literature, care-giving and humanitarianism, leadership and community service, and education, are suggested criteria.
The deadline to nominate someone in the Mayor’s Senior of the Year Awards is June 21, 2011.
