With the temperature reaching a balmy and satisfying 17°C on Monday, there was no excuse for staying inside.
Winnipeggers were out and about soaking up the sun at hot spots all across the city, from the patios at Bar Italia and Luxalune Gastropub on Osborne, to the Bridge Drive-In on Jubilee.
Nearby on the Elm Park Bridge, pedestrians were burning off their freshly-consumed sugary treats by taking a stroll over the Red River from Jubilee to Kingston Crescent.
Today’s high calls for 15°C and sunny, but we’ll dip to 0°C on Wednesday with an overnight low of -9°C, according to Environment Canada. Better keep that jacket handy for a while. But don’t feel too discouraged, the nice weather is only just beginning.
