The Manitoba Museum has been honoured with two awards from the Canadian Museums Association.
The CMA bestowed the honour of Outstanding Achievement in the Exhibitions category to the museum’s Ancient Seas exhibit.
Ancient Seas transports visitors to an underwater environment that existed more than 450 million years ago, when the Churchill area was blanketed by a tropical sea.
The CMA also gave out the Award of Distinguished Service to retired long-time curator Dr. Katherine Pettipas.
Pettipas was known for the lasting partnerships she formed with Aboriginal communities.
