Have a few pairs of running shoes kicking around that you no longer wear? West Broadway Youth Outreach (WBYO) would love them.
The year-round recreational and life skills program will hold the five kilometre 5ish Fun Run on Sunday, June 5 as a fundraiser.
WBYO wants to get as many children as possible to participate in the run — many of whom only have one pair of shoes used for indoor gym classes.
Donations for the 5ish Kicks for Kids shoe drive can be dropped off at any Running Room location in Winnipeg, or at the WBYO office, 203-222 Furby Street from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.
