Winnipeg police had traffic blocked off in the area of Riverwood Avenue and Lyon Street in Fort Garry Friday afternoon.
A tow truck driver about to haul away an abandoned Jeep from the École Viscount Alexander parking lot noticed a suspicious white bag underneath the vehicle and called police.

Witnesses say the vehicle was dropped off at the school about five days ago by another tow truck.
A bomb-defusing robot inspected the vehicle and eventually gave the all-clear. Officers swept the vehicle over and then had it towed away.
