An ice jam along the Assiniboine River that threatened homes over the weekend has since broken up.
Premier Greg Selinger said Monday the ice jam west of Winnipeg had eased, but a Hutterite colony along Highway 26 was inundated with water. Selinger spoke to reporters in Headlingley after returning from an aerial tour of the area as far west as Portage la Prairie.

Selinger added the province will have to wait and see what impact the ice flow has on Winnipeg when it makes its way into the city, but said it will be minimal.
The province is providing its latest flood update this afternoon.
