The Winnipeg Foundation is challenging Winnipeggers to support 130 local causes before midnight on Thursday, April 21.
The 90-Hour Giving Challenge launched at 6 a.m. this morning at The Forks to help mark the Foundation’s 90th anniversary.
During this time, the Foundation will match online gifts made to Agency Funds, based on the number and dollar amount of gifts each participating charity receives.
“We live in the most generous province in Canada and we’re confident Winnipeggers will rise to this challenge. With 130 charities taking part, there’s a cause for everyone,” said Foundation CEO Rick Frost.
The amount raised during the 90 hours will be announced at the Forks Atrium at 10:30 a.m. on April 26.
