The City of Winnipeg has opened up a flood Reception Centre for rural residents displaced from their homes.
The centre at the Century Arena at 1377 Clarence Avenue will offer emergency support services for those in need.
General hours will be Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. On Good Friday, April 22, the centre will be open from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The city collaborated with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, the Canadian Red Cross, the Salvation Army, St. John Ambulance and Manitoba Family Services and Consumer Affairs to host the centre.
Volunteers and donations are not required at the Reception Centre.
