A 65-year-old Stony Mountain man was killed Wednesday after a workplace accident at the Wuskwatim Dam worksite.
RCMP say Allan Michael Leschyshyn was struck in the head by a metal crossbar while helping co-workers dismantle a large quonset structure.
The accident happened at about 6 p.m. approximately 40 kilometres north of Thompson.
Attempts to revive the man on-site by medical responders were made, but Leschyshyn succumbed to his injuries.
Police and Manitoba Labour and Immigration continue to investigate.
