Popular U.S.-based news website The Huffington Post is expanding to Canada and is searching for a qualified team to make up its new operation.
The website — which launched in 2005 — was recently acquired by AOL for $315 million.
The expansion into Canada makes the second international destination for Huff Post, who previously announced a U.K. website in March.
In a posting on the business networking website LinkedIn, the company has put the call out for a Senior News Editor to be based in the Toronto area.
A spokesperson for the website said in an e-mail further positions will be publicized in the coming weeks.
