The Winnipeg Foundation will be releasing details of its 90-Hour Giving Challenge at 10:30 a.m. today.
The challenge ran from April 18 to 21 and encouraged Winnipeggers to open up their wallets to benefit 129 local charities. Donations will be matched by the Foundation, based on the number and total dollar amount of gifts from individuals.
This morning’s total will be announced in The Forks’ Atrium.
The announcement comes 90 years to the day the Foundation’s Act was passed in the Manitoba Legislature.
UPDATE: $406,212 was raised, including 2,465 gifts.
