Members of the Canadian Armed Forces and All Seniors Care will come together this morning for the Royal Swell the Shelves Food Drive.
The drive is being held in celebration of Friday’s royal wedding between Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Between 7 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., Winnipeg Harvest will be collecting donations in the courtyard at 201 Portage Avenue.
All donations and proceeds received will go directly to helping stock the shelves of the Winnipeg food bank.
Earlier this week, seniors and members of the Armed Forces were collecting donations from local schools to help feed hungry residents in the city.
