The amusing Winnipeg-based website that’s been posting photos of Canada’s political party leaders in their earlier days has now surpassed two million hits.
VintageVoter.ca launched about two weeks ago and has become an instant hit.
“Social sites like ours that expose a more human side of politics are clearly resonating with Canadians, including first-time voters,” said David Leibl, the site’s creator.
“This really has become the social-media election, and it’s vital we continue to find ways to use these tools to make the democratic process accessible and relevant to more people.”
Speaking of political leaders … don’t forget to vote for one of them today. Polls close at 8:30 p.m.
