While insurance won’t cover damage caused by overland flooding, FirstOnSite Restoration is attempting to make it easier for homeowners to collect compensation.

The disaster mitigation company has teamed up with the Bank of Montreal (BMO) to help speed up the process for those affected by spring flooding to secure a loan.

The company will provide a damage cost estimate and then have BMO assist the homeowner in securing financing to make repairs.

BMO is currently only offering the service in Manitoba. Interested homeowners can call FirstOnSite Restoration for further details at 1-888-315-9239, or by contacting their local BMO branch.
