Fire Damages School Buses in Steinbach

Arson is being blamed on four school buses that went up in flames in Steinbach Thursday evening.

RCMP were called to Fairway Bus Sales at 44 Brandt Street shortly after 6:30 p.m.

Police say the blaze was caused when someone set fire to one school bus, which then spread to three others.

The school buses were no longer in service and had been stored for parts.

Damage is estimated at $70,000.

UPDATE: Friday, May 20 — Two 13-year-old female youths are now facing arson charges.
