Voting has opened for the 5 Alarm Firefighters Cook Off, with a winner being crowned from the top five recipes chosen by the public.
Firefighters from 16 Winnipeg fire halls, the Winnipeg Airport Fire Department, the Springfield Fire Rescue Service and the Altona Fire Department have submitted recipes, with the hopes of being named Manitoba’s 2011 Cook Off Champion.
A panel of celebrity judges will choose the winning recipe on Saturday, June 18 at the City of Winnipeg Fire Training Academy on McPhillips Street.
Voting will run until Thursday, June 9, and each unique e-mail address can vote once every 24 hours. Voters will be entered into a draw to win a great prize.
