The Canadian Red Cross is continuing to take donations to help those affected by flooding in Manitoba.

Donations are being accepted at any local Red Cross office, at RedCross.ca, or by phone at 1-800-418-1111. Donations should be earmarked “Manitoba Floods.”

For families and individuals who are evacuated, you can register to receive donations at the Keystone Centre’s Canada Room in Brandon, or the Reception Centre at the Provincial Building at 25 Tupper St. N. in Portage la Prairie. Those who are evacuated, but do not require assistance just yet, can still call the Red Cross at 1-888-662-3211.

Volunteers wishing to assist the Red Cross during this time can sign up by calling 1-888-662-3211.

To date, the Red Cross has received corporate support from Walmart, Westjet, Home Depot and Investors Group. Canadian Tire is also donating rubber boots, gloves and protective outdoor gear to those people sandbagging their properties.
