Assiniboine Park (CHRISD.CA FILE)
If you’re not heading up to the cottage this weekend, Assiniboine Park will keep you occupied.
The park will be hosting Family Fun Day at the new Nature Playground on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kids will have the chance to try out the basket swings, mazes, net bridges, willow tree tunnels and get a view from the sky-high crow’s nest.
Besides the playground, the new Children’s Garden was inspired by the classic childhood board game Snakes and Ladders.
There will also be prize draws, giveaways, balloons, games and mascots.
The Nature Playground is located just west of the Assiniboine Park Pavilion. Admission is free.
