Heading to the United States this May long weekend? The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) warns travellers to plan ahead when returning to Canada.

The CBSA says motorists can expect to come across delays at the Emerson, Manitoba point of entry between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sunday, with potential wait times exceeding 30 minutes. Wait times on Monday may exceed 45 minutes between 12 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Based on traffic volume trends so far this year, the CBSA expects higher than normal traffic this year.

Border wait times are available at http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/bwt-taf/menu-eng.html.
