Siloam Mission, 300 Princess Street (HANDOUT)

Students from Fisher River Cree Nation’s Enhancement Year Program (YEP) will serve up breakfast this morning at Siloam Mission.

The students are moving to Winnipeg for two months to prepare for post-secondary education and learn about transition to urban life.

One aspect of the program is to volunteer, and students will lend a hand at Siloam preparing and serving breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Students in the program live on the reserve for eight months and take college accredited courses on campus. During May and June, they come to Winnipeg to study and live together in residence.
