Local firefighters will lead a pack of walkers, runners, and cyclists during the 5th annual Winnipeg Safeway Walk for Muscular Dystrophy Canada on Saturday, May 28.

The one-hour walk will make one giant loop around the two kilometre path at Kildonan Park.

Seven-year-old Josh Bangert is the walk’s ambassador this year. “As the mother of a son living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, the Walk for Muscular Dystrophy gives me an opportunity to meet other families affected with muscular dystrophy going through similar challenges,” said Josh’s mother, Kylie Orvis.

Funds raised at the Walk will support local families affected by Muscular Dystrophy.
