Winnipeg singer-songwriter Don Amero is returning to his hometown after a Canadian tour on Friday, May 27.
During Amero’s Home-Away-From-Home Tour, the artist asked audiences in Eastern Canada to share their hometown pictures.
“When I travel, I take a lot of pictures from the perspective of a visitor,” Amero said. “But I’ve always been interested in how people perceive their hometowns. So during this tour, I’m asking people to share pictures of their hometown with me.”
Fans across Eastern Canada are being asked to e-mail Don their hometown pics to hometourphotos@gmail.com. The pictures will be featured on his Facebook page during the tour, and during his concert on May 27 at the Park Theatre with guest James Struthers.
Tickets to the show are $19 at the door, or $15 in advance at Music Traders, the Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store, the Park Theatre or DonAmero.com.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.
