One person is dead after a single-vehicle rollover near Minnedosa on Tuesday evening.
RCMP say a van carrying five passengers lost control on Highway 16 at Road 112 West in the RM of Saskatchewan.
The vehicle was travelling eastbound at the time and all occupants were from Saskatchewan.
A 23-year-old male passenger died at the scene, while the other passengers and driver were taken to various medical facilities. The lone female passenger was taken to a Winnipeg hospital by the STARS air ambulance, where she was listed in stable condition. The rest of the occupants suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Highway 16 was closed for several hours between Basswood and Newdale, while traffic was rerouted to Provincial Roads 270 and 250.
Police say alcohol is not considered a factor in the crash, but driver fatigue may be to blame.
