The Wildewood Club has contracted a deal with Prairie Junior Badminton Development in an effort to offer badminton training to athletes of all levels.
Three programs are set to begin this fall, including Junior A, Junior B and Hummingbird Lessons.
The Wildewood Club has been the target of recent vandalism, but has bounced back to form this beneficial partnership in sport.
“We formed Prairie Junior Badminton Development after having run several badminton camps together in Kenora, Winnipeg and other areas of Manitoba,” said Justin Friesen, a National Coaching Certification Program Level 3 candidate. “Our coaching styles and philosophies seemed to be very similar and we have the same outlook on life – work hard but make sure you’re having fun.”
Group badminton lessons will be available at the club from September to June, however, summer camps may also be available.
The group lessons are open to athletes aged six to 20, and individual lessons are offered to any interested club members based on coach availability. For more details, visit PrairieBadminton.ca.
