The University of Manitoba’s two city campuses will be sparkling after staff and students are finished giving them a makeover today.

For the 14th year, the U of M’s Campus Beautification Day will see volunteers beautify the Fort Garry and Bannatyne campuses by picking up paper, raking, sweeping, pulling weeds and planting flowers. Garden centres in Winnipeg are donating flowers and plants to help with the process.

The cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. and continue throughout the day, with a barbecue lunch held at noon at both locations for all participants.

Volunteers will have the chance to enter the grand prize draw, which is two airline tickets donated by WestJet.

Should the weather not cooperate, the rain date is Friday, May 27.
