Assiniboine Park will be packed on Sunday as thousands of children, their families and their best teddy bears attend the Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
This year, the annual picnic is celebrating 25 years of providing health education, fun activities and entertainment.
More than 40 tents will be set up, with entertainment on the main stage, including picnic favourites Just Kiddin’, the Orlan Ukrainian Dancers, Alphabet Soup and more.
Rain or shine, the picnic will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.
All proceeds from items sold at the picnic will go to the Children’s Hospital Foundation, in support of pediatric research at the Manitoba Institute of Child Health and equipment and programs at Children’s Hospital.
