Ahead of today’s game against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, the Winnipeg Goldeyes announced a number of roster moves on Wednesday.
Outfielder Jonathan Wyatt has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to May 25, while the Fish activated left-handed pitcher Mike Williams from the inactive list and signed left-handed pitcher Luis Villarreal.
Villarreal spent the 2006 ball season in Winnipeg, where he had a 2-0 record and 2.38 ERA in two starts towards the end of the season after being acquired from the Joliet JackHammers.
The 31-year-old from San Antonio, Texas is a veteran of 10 professional seasons, playing in the 2010 season with La New Bears of the Chinese Professional Baseball League.
The Goldeyes also placed left-handed pitcher Zach Baldwin on the inactive list.
Today’s opening pitch is at 11 a.m. at Shaw Park.
