Some may regard the May long weekend as the unofficial start to summer. For others, it’s the St. Norbert Farmers’ Market.
The market will open for its 23rd season on Saturday morning, with fresh Manitoba produce, homemade baking, artisans, and entertainment.
The celebrations will begin with the annual Local Food Race at 11 a.m. Winnipeg Free Press reporter Bartley Kives, Citytv’s Pay Chen and St. Norbert MLA Marilyn Brick will compete in the local food challenge.
The market will open at 8 a.m. and is located on the east side of Pembina Highway south of the Perimeter.
