Sunday is a big day for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, as the team will officially open their 2011 training camp at Canad Inns Stadium.
It’s significant in a way, as it will be the final opening training camp day at the old stadium before the Bombers move to the University of Manitoba campus next season.
Camp begins at 9:30 a.m. with a short walkthrough, followed by the first practice from 10:20 a.m. to 12:55 p.m.
All practices are open to the public and fans are asked to enter through the Bomber Store on the west side of Canad Inns Stadium where they will receiver up-to-date rosters and depth charts. The first 500 fans wearing their Blue Bomber jersey will receive a free hat.
Just one rule: Leave the video camera at home. No videotaping allowed.
Fans will receive autographs from the team as they exit the field following practice.
The 2nd Annual Randy Reyher Memorial Car Show, in support of CancerCare Manitoba, will be taking place in the west side parking lot from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
