It was a weekend full of chicken-related fun out in Oakbank, Manitoba, as the third annual Springfield Chicken Daze was put on.
The seasonal event included the always popular chicken races, as well as entertainment, a midway and other activities. No word on which chicken came out the fastest, but the little guys always need a little push in the right direction each year.
Organizers expected about 6,000 people to attend, up from roughly 4,500 last year due to rainy weather.
The three-day event concluded Sunday.
