Aerospace Week will be celebrated at the University of Manitoba today by the Faculty of Engineering and Manitoba Aerospace.
At 11 a.m., an open house in the Engineering and Information Technology Complex will include tours of facilities and projects, while students show off their awards for aircraft design.
Representatives from the university, aerospace industry and the Manitoba Aviation Museum will discuss industry/university partnerships, their benefits to staff and students and how industry partnerships impact the local economy.
The University of Manitoba Space Applications and technology Society (UMSATS) design group will describe plans for building an experimental satellite for launching into space.
