Lace up your sneakers — it’s Sneakers in Motion Day at the University of Manitoba.
The annual event to promote vibrant, healthy living and quality of life, will see hundreds of participants gather at the Curry Place Pedway on the Fort Garry Campus beginning at noon. The warm-up will be followed by an entertaining walk around campus, with a healthy lunch to follow, and door prizes being awarded for best costumes.
In the event it rains, the walk will be held inside the Max Bell Fieldhouse.
The U of M’s Bannatyne campus will hold their own employee wellness activity on June 16, with proceeds going to the Basketballs for Inner City Kids Program.
Sneakers in Motion Day promotes physical activity on campus and is the kick-off to the Summer Active recreational program.
