The annual Niverville Olde Tyme Country Fair kicks off for another year this evening just south of Winnipeg.
Gates for the two-day fair open at 5:30 p.m., along with the midway, petting zoo and other attractions. At 7 p.m., a ball room dance demonstration will be given, followed by an X-treme motocross demo at 8 p.m. Fireworks are planned for 11 p.m.
On Saturday, headliner Emerson Drive will perform, but not before the famous toonie pancake breakfast satisfies the appetite of the hundreds who attend each year. A country street market will open at 10 a.m., as a full day of activities fill the void until the big show at 9 p.m.
We’ll have a photographer there this weekend and will bring you the sights if you can’t make it out yourself.
Admission is $12 on Friday, $12 on Saturday (before 6 p.m.), and $20 after 6 p.m.
