St. Vital Park will be bustling Sunday for the 2011 Walmart Walk for Miracles.
The annual walk draws thousands of participants nationwide, and aims to raise $4 million for children’s hospital across Canada.
Ten-year-old Ethan Burnell will be this year’s grand marshal and will lead hundreds of walkers around the park in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
The walk will fund critical hospital equipment programs and pediatric research at Children’s Hospital in Winnipeg.
Pledge drop off and registration is at 8 a.m., followed by the walk warm up at 9:40 a.m. and the official start of the walk at 10 a.m.
The 1 km or 5 km walk will wrap with snacks, drinks and celebrations.
