The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will take their training camp out of town this weekend.

The team will be in Brandon on Saturday where they’ll practice on the field at Vincent Massey High School.

“This is an exciting time for both the city of Brandon and the Winnipeg Football Club,” Blue Bomber president Jim Bell said in a release. “We’re looking forward to making the short trip out west where we can connect with the many Bomber fans outside of Winnipeg and ensure that Blue Bomber football reaches out to our entire province.”

The practice will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by an autograph session at Neelin High School from 2:20 p.m. to 4 p.m.

That same night, members of the Chamber of Commerce will attend an event at Remington’s restaurant, where they will be able to ask questions to Blue Bomber staff as well as hear about the new stadium set to open in 2012.
